  • In 1450, Johannes invented a printing press that increased the number of books made and the printing press also made it easier to read the books

5 FACTS ON GUTENBERG

  • Born in Mainz, Germany in the late 1390s.
  • He was a blacksmith, and the son of a goldsmith
  • He switched out the wooden blocks on the printing press with medal ones
  • First book printed was the bible, in German, French, and English.
  • He owned a printing shop, which he lost most of it due to his debt.
