HIS LIFE
John Dalton was a chemist, meteorologist and physicist.
John did most of his work at Manhester College in Oxford.
3.
WHAT HE DID
John Dalton was the first man to create the Atomic Model.
He thought the atom was the smallest possible component of matter.
He did this in 1808.
He suggested how atoms acted. He was the first man to explain
the behaviours of an atom in terms of their measurement and weight.

WHAT HE USED TO DO THIS
Standard lab equipment
He was originally observing elements until he came across the atom.
Manometers for the measurement of gas pressure.
He discovered what he did only with this standard equipment
and luck.

WHAT HE DISCOVERED ABOUT ATOMS
He discovered that all elements were
made up of atoms.
He also found out which elements all
the atoms made
