ABOUT JOHN DALTON
John Dalton 1766–1844 was born in Cumberland, England.
After his many years of teaching, John got a teaching position in the city of Manchester, which provided him with a working environment and laboratory facilities. Dalton died July 26, 1844 in Manchester.
JOHN'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- John dalton was an English chemist, meteorologist and physicist.
- John suggested a modern atomic theory, and researched into colour blindness
- 1800; he was the first scientist to explain the behavior of atoms in terms of the measurement of weight.
- John identified the nature of red and green colour blindness.
- In 1803 he revealed the concept of Dalton’s Laws of Partial Pressures.

- John was looking at symbols and created his own which related to the atom.
- John Dalton used lots of things to help him discover the atoms.
