JOHN DALTON

ABOUT JOHN DALTON

John Dalton 1766–1844 was born in Cumberland, England.
After his many years of teaching, John got a teaching position in the city of Manchester, which provided him with a working environment and laboratory facilities. Dalton died July 26, 1844 in Manchester.

JOHN'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • John dalton was an English chemist, meteorologist and physicist.
  • John suggested a modern atomic theory, and researched into colour blindness
  • 1800; he was the first scientist to explain the behavior of atoms in terms of the measurement of weight.
  • John identified the nature of red and green colour blindness.
  • In 1803 he revealed the concept of Dalton’s Laws of Partial Pressures.

HIS DISCOVERY

  • John was looking at symbols and created his own which related to the atom.
  • John Dalton used lots of things to help him discover the atoms.
  • John used the technology of nuclear power and chemical reaction.
  • Johns purpose of atom theory is listed below. Dalton's theory based on the that--
  • atoms of different elements could be distinguished by differences in their weights.

HOW DID JOHN CHANGE THE WORLD

  • Without Johns work and theories chemiststryas may not exist.
  • John impacted the world by nuclear power and nuclear weapons.
  • The atom helped to make many other discoveries that we use today.
