WHO WAS JOHN F. KENNEDY ?

BY, YONA ZELDIS MCDONOUGH

THE ROAD TO SUCCESS

  • Brave
  • intelligent
  • kind
  • generous
JFK went above and beyond. He was brave by sitting on his cascade in Dallas, Texas going through the streets. JFK was brave because he was a war hero. He was intelligent because he went to Harvard. He was kind because he went up to many people during his parade in Dallas and shook hands with them. He was generous with his time because he spent as much time with his family as he did serving his country.

“We stand today on the edge of a New Frontier … Beyond that frontier are uncharted areas of science and space, unsolved problems of peace and war, unconquered pockets of ignorance and prejudice, unanswered questions of poverty and surplus.”

This quote was part of his democratic speech. This was before he got elected as president.

WHERE EVERYTHING HAPPENS

  • Kennedy decided to block Cuba and ordered 180 ships to sail into the Caribbean .

  • Kennedy and the rest of America held their breath and hoped that Rusia wouldn't attack their boats.

Authors purpose
Yona Zeldis McDonough wrote this book because John F. Kennedy was a famous person and a hero to many people. As many people would agree he was one of the better presidents that we have had so far. Yona McDonough told the story about Mr. kennedy's life. She had very descriptive details along with her writing being very clear.

Kennedy never gave up on anything. No matter what he faced, he never gave up. JFK is a President that will never be forgotten because he touched many people's lives and he died in such a tragic way. Who knows what our country would be like today had Kennedy not been assassinated.
