  • He lived in Massachusetts
  • Accused of doing witchcraft
  • Died at the age 60

  • Married Elizabeth Thorndike.
  • Had 4 children John,Martha,Mary,and Benjamin

JOB
John proctor was a wealthy farmer. He had a maid servant her name was Mary warren. He threatened to beat her because of her fits. This was one of the reasons why they thought he was a witch.

TRIAL
John proctor and his wife where accused of witchcraft.When Proctor was in jail he wrote a letter to the Boston clergy claiming he was innocent. August 1 a meeting was held and they tampered with the evidence. August 5 john proctor was found guilty.

DEATH

  • Him and his wife was hanged on august 19 1692
  • Proctor family was given 156 pounds in 1711 for John and his wife's death.
  • He was 60 years old when he died.
