JOHN WILLIAMS WAS BORN

• February 8 1932
• His father was a jazz percussionist for the cbs radio orchestra

John Williams started piano at the age of 6

John Williams was born in New York but in 1948 him and his family moved to Los Angeles were Williams studied with the musician Mario Castelnuovo-tedesco

Then Williams got drafted by the Air Force and played for the Air Force band after serving Williams returned to New York to attend Juilliard school

While in New York Williams worked as a jazz pianist at a nightclub

Then Williams moved back to Los Angeles to begin a very huge successful career in film

Williams went on to write music for over 200 television episodes from series like Alcoa premier, Kraft suspense, and playhouse 90

Then Williams started writing music for the movies Poseidon adventure,Towering inferno,Earthquake and cowboys

In 1974 Williams composed music for Steven Spielberg’s sugarland express This started a long bond between them

In 1978 Williams wrote music for Richard donners Superman

In 1981 Williams and Spielberg got together for Indiana Jones raiders of the lost ark

Williams and Spielberg went on to make E.T, Jurassic park and Schindlers list

Williams scored the Harry Potter deathly hallows and then he moved on to the Star Wars franchise

Williams scoring under George Lucas wrote music for every Star Wars film released.
