  • Currently lives in Los Angeles, CA

THE YEAR OF THE CALDECOTT

  • In 2013 Jon won the Caldecott Medal for "This is Not My Hat"
  • He was also awarded a Caldecott Honor for "Extra Yarn"
  • The only other time that happened was in 1947!
  • His parents found out he won before he did since he was on a plane at the time.
