PERCIEVING THE ART
We noticed an exhausted ballerina accomponied by a chaperone
We recognized the ballet shoes and outfit, which shows her profession
It causes us to feel stress, because the ballerina seems anxious or tired
The pastel drawing reminds us of the hard work snd dedication of an athlete
A ballerina is preparing to go onstage, and is nervous. She is with a chaperone
6.
PERCIVING THE ART
It could also be after a performance, where she stumbled
It makes us wonder what the purpose of the chaperone is
We want to know where this takes place, or what inspired Degas to create it
