REVELATION
- Confused by all the religious denominations, Joseph called on a God for the truth

- In the woods he was visited by 2 personages who showed him the truth
BOOK OF MORMON
- Angel Moroni, last survivor of the Nephites
- Revealed golden plates on a hillside
- Joseph unable to translate text for many years
- Moroni took text back to his planet
- Published in 1830
