Our board improvement plan this year continues to focus on student voice, student engagement and student achievement but this year the difference is that we are asking teachers to find the joy in their journey.

CHOICE

FOR TEACHERS, FOR STUDENTS
We are providing opportunities for joy by giving staff choice in their PLCs. We are asking them to give students choice (where possible) in content, product and with whom they work.
This part of ensuring that autonomy exists for all of us.

AUTHENTIC

GENUINE MEANINGFUL TASKS
Joy can be found when we have genuine meaningful and engaging tasks. Students are able to become fully and meaningfully engaged and achievement levels rise.

LEARNING AND COLLABORATING
Teachers students and administration are all working at following their interests and thinking deeply sbout learning. Closed door policies are gone and teachers are working together to bring new ideas to light and to grow and learn along side their students.
