Judaism is one of the oldest religions. It all started around 4,000 BC and took place in Israel, which is in the Middle East. The Jews believed in monotheism which is only believing in one God. The founding leader was believed to be Abraham, a poor sheep herder who lived in Mesopotamia. He was called on by God to leave his home in and start a new nation, Israel, by freeing the Jews that where enslaved in Egypt. Also, the Jews believed that God gave Mosses the 10 Commandments.
