Jews believe that there is a single God who not only created the universe, but with whom every Jew can have an individual and personal relationship. They believe that God continues to work in the world, affecting everything that people do. The Jewish relationship with God is a covenant relationship.

This can occur through contagious diffusion, a form of interaction in which religious beliefs spread (like a contagious disease) from believers to nonbelievers, or through hierarchical diffusion, in which missionaries convert the leaders of communities, who then mandate.

Abram that he would be the father of a great people if he did as God told him. Jews regard Abraham (as he was later called) as the first Patriarch of the Jewish people. Moses led the Exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt and across the Red Sea, after which they based themselves at Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments. The biblical King Solomon was known for his wisdom, his wealth and his writings. He became ruler in approximately 967 B.C.E. and his kingdom extended from the Euphrates River in the north to Egypt in the south, David. David, (flourished c. 1000 bce), biblical Israelite king and the first monarch of all the Israelite tribes. He was the father of Solomon, who expanded the empire that David built. He is an important figure in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. According to the Tanakh, Saul was the son of Kish, of the family of the Matrites, and a member of the tribe of Benjamin, one of the twelve Tribes of Israel. It appears that he came from Gibeah.

After Christianity, the largest religious affiliation in the U.S. is Judaism. Marilyn Monroe was Jewish: she converted for her husband Arthur Miller. Despite being a Jew, Karl Marx hated Judaism and said that "money is the jealous god of Israel." so that Jews build a Third Temple and "Jesus comes again".
