THE TORAH
The torah contains 5 books revealed to moses by God on Mount Sinai,it is the most important book to the Jews

• Kippah ( skull cap) ,men wear this on their heads
• Tallit( a prayer shawl ),rabbis and others use this while worshipping
• Tefilin ( a small leather box with long straps )

BOY / GIRL CEREMONIES

• Special ceremonies where boys and girls can become adults in the eyes of Jewish religion
• For boys its Bar Mitzvah
• For Girls its Bat Mitzvah

MARRIAGE

• Also known as Kiddushin whic means holy or special couples are married under a canopy
• Both give each other a ring which is a token or symbol of their promises

CELEBRATIONS

• Passover is celbrated to commemorate the liberation of the children of Israel who were slaves
• Rosh hashanah is the jewish new year
• Hannukah is the jewish festival of lights
