Judas Iscariot was one of the main twelve followers (disciples/apostles) of Jesus but after the last supper he betrayed Jesus by handing him over to the High Priest.

When Jesus decided to invite Judas to join his disciples he knew that Judas would betray him, but he still loved him as much as the rest of the other disciples so he let him join.

The bible references for this info is:
Matthew 10:1-4
Mark 3:13-18
Luke 6:12-16

At the last supper, Jesus announced to the disciples that one of them would betray him by the end of the night. At this, the disciples pondered over who would be the one that would betray Jesus.

That night, Jesus was praying at the Mount of Olives when Judas came with the High Priests armed men. He said to them "The one that I kiss is Jesus" as soon as the men saw who Judas kissed, they charged and took hold over Jesus.

The bible references for this info are:
Matthew 26:47-56
Mark 14:43-52
Luke 22:47-53
John 18:1-11

After Judas betrayed Jesus, he watched as Pilate condemned him to crucifixion on the cross. He felt guilty so he repented and asked for forgiveness.

He went to the
High Priest and gave them thirty pieces of silver. Judas then felt so much remorse and guilt that he went and killed himself because he had "betrayed innocent blood"

The bible Reference for this info is:
Matthew 27:1-5

HOW IS THE BIBLE LAID OUT

The bible is laid out in a mostly chronological order. It starts with the Old Testament which writes about the beginning and the creation all the way to the first Kings of The Israelites. The New Testament is retelling the life of Jesus using many different Authors. I also talks about how Jesus had and effect on the world after his death.

The first series of books in the bible are in the Old Testament, it's name is the Books of Moses, then the Books of History, then the Books of Peotry, and finally, The Prophets. The Old Testament is written in mostly chronological order, but some books overlap.

The next series of Books are in the New Testament. The next series name is the Gospels, followed by Epistles and finally the Revelations. The New Testament is again in basic chronological order but The Gospels all overlap because they are telling the story of Jesus life on earth.
