• Julie went to Ouachita Parish high school in Monroe, Louisiana.
• Julie went to Louisiana state University and earned a Bachelor of music.

JULIE IN LOS ANGELES

• Right after college Julie travel to Los Angeles and began orchestrating under the employ of American composes Bill Conti for the television mini series North and South.
• While in Los Angeles Julie studied with several composers and orchestrators including Bill Conti, Jack Eskew, and Greg Mckitchie.

TELEVISION AND FILM

• From 1985-1997, Julie orchestrated, April Fool' s Day, North Or South (2), The Karate Kid 2, Broadcast News, Master Of The Universe, White Man Can't Jump, and Blaze.
• Julie began to compose heavily for band and orchestra with Musica Propria.

2004-2009

• In 2004, Gia published a book with features Julie Giroux.
• In 2005, Julie became a member of American Bandmasters Association.
• In 2009, Julie accomplished pianist.
