  • Julius is his middle name.
  • He was one of the leaders in the triumvirate.

CAESAR'S RISE TO FAME

  • Caesar was very kind to the poor people of Rome.
  • Crassus was killed. Pompey began to think Caesar was getting to popular.
  • Pompey and Caesar begin to fight for power in Rome.
  • Rome becomes a republic under the control of Caesar.

CAESAR NAMED DICTATOR FOR LIFE

  • Caesar becomes dictator for life.
  • He begins to help the poor people in Rome.
  • The senators thought that Caesar wanted to be king
  • so they had to do something about it.

CAESARS DEATH

  • Caesar's senators thought up a briliiant plan to kill Ceasar
  • and take over.
  • His best friend Brutus was one of them.
  • They called him in a room and stabbed him repeatedly.
  • The last person was Brutus. And his last words were "Et tu Brute."

  • Life after Caesar's death Rome continued to prosper.
  • His nephew Augustus becam ruler the next day.
  • They had 200 continuous years of peace.
