CAUSES
A keloid can be considered a *scar gone wild*
A mass scar tissue that has raised, firm, and irregular shape.
A keloid occurs most often as a result of trauma or surgery, minor cuts, acne, burns, or vaccination sites.
A keloid forms because the overproduction of connective tissue at the affected site

SYMPTOMS & SIGNS
Keloids are usually raised and look shiny
They are mostly pink to red
They can be itchy, tender, or even painful to touch

PROGNOSIS
Keloids are harmless cosmetic problems and do not become cancerous
Once they stop growing they won't start growing again unless injured
5.
TREATMENTS
Keloids usually don't need treatment
If they do bother your you can freeze, steroid injections, radiation, silicone, and laser treatments
