  • Began in 1980
  • The problem was detected during systematic analyses of Kenya's water
  • This analysis began in 1934 by the British Crown

  • Suffer from frequent droughts
  • WaterAid returned to Kenya in 2008
  • Very poor and cannot afford adequate water filters
  • About 80% of the country is arid
