FACTS ABOUT KEVLAR

  • It's strong but relatively light
  • It's 8x stronger then steel wire
  • Unlike most plastics it does not melt
  • Kevlar can resist attacks from many different chemicals
  • Kevlar is actually a super-strong plastic
  • Kevlar is only properly made by the DuPoint chemical company
  • It comes in two main varieties called Kevlar 29 and Kevlar 49
