KILIMINJARO

  • The story takes place on the mountain kiliminjaro
  • The main characters are Harry and Helen
  • They are stranded waiting to be rescued
  • Harry has gangrene, an infection in his leg
  • Harry has flashbacks on his whole life

CHARACTERS

  • Harry - a writer
  • Helen- Harry's wife, a very wealthy women
  • Married couple
  • He married her for her wealth
  • He blames her for his problems

CONFLICT

  • Harry has gangrene, and him and his wife are stranded
  • He faces death
  • Harry and Helen argue over everything because of Harry's infection

EXPOSITION

  • The story starts off with Harry and Helen
  • They are stranded on kiliminjaro, their truck broke down

RISING ACTION

  • Harry reflects on his life through flashbacks of previous excursions

CLIMAX

  • Harry dreams he is rescued and being flown over the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
