CHARACTERISTICS

  • Fungi are eukaryotes.
  • They are non-vascular.
  • Their nuclei of fungi is very small.
  • Fungi store their food as starch.
  • Are typically non-motile

NON-CHARACTERISTICS

  • Most don't reproduce asexually.
  • Most are mobile.
  • Most have brains.
  • Just are not fungi.
  • Nuclei vary in size.

Believe it or not, the fungi kingdom does not consist of just mushrooms. The organisms in kingdom fungi include mushrooms, yeasts, molds, rusts, smuts, puffballs, truffles, morels, and molds. Here are a few examples.

The Protista kingdom is very complex; there are tens of thousands of species of Protists. Here are a few examples.
