CONCUSSIONS

  • A concussion is a brain injury that is caused by an indirect hit or direct hit
  • Causing a change in brain function
  • With a concussion there is no visible injury
  • You have to take a test to see if you have a concussion or not
  • You have to rest a lot because that makes the brain heal

DISLOCATED SHOULDERS

  • Occures when defense man hits an attacker in the clavicular region.
  • Go to the doctor, immobilize the arm/shoulder
  • Ice for 20-30 min, take medication if there is a break in the skin.

FRACTURED RIB

  • A fractured rib involves a break in one of the bones in the ribcage.
  • It can also be diagnosed as a "fractured rib" if the main cartilage is injured.
  • The way to healing can be acheived be extra rest and ice

BRUISES

  • Bruises are a cause of a very small internal bleed
  • It can accure when a lacrosse ball or stick is struck against a body part
  • The impact is what causes the internal bleeding that feels really sore and turns blue and black
  • With ice on the bruise and resting it on a raised pillow i will heal in about1-2 weeks
  • Eventually over time the color and soreness should go away
