EARLY LIFE

  • On December 22, 1912, Thomas Jefferson Taylor and Minnie Patillo Taylor gave birth to a beautiful girl named Claudia Alta Taylor.
  • Claudia was born in Karnack, Texas.

EDUCATION

  • Claudia went to school at St. Mary's Episcopal School for Girls.
  • Claudia went to college at the University of Texas in Austin.

IMPORTANT EVENTS

  • 1982- Claudia started the Lady Bird Johnson Wildlife Center.
  • November 17, 1934-married to Lyndon Baines Johnson.

PROBLEMS

  • Her husband had a few heart attacks, so she had to spend her time taking care of him. That took away the time that she could be working on her project: making urban and highway environments more beautiful.
