EARLY LIFE
On December 22, 1912, Thomas Jefferson Taylor and Minnie Patillo Taylor gave birth to a beautiful girl named Claudia Alta Taylor.
Claudia was born in Karnack, Texas.

EDUCATION
Claudia went to school at St. Mary's Episcopal School for Girls.
Claudia went to college at the University of Texas in Austin.
4.
IMPORTANT EVENTS
1982- Claudia started the Lady Bird Johnson Wildlife Center.
November 17, 1934-married to Lyndon Baines Johnson.

PROBLEMS
Her husband had a few heart attacks, so she had to spend her time taking care of him. That took away the time that she could be working on her project: making urban and highway environments more beautiful.

She has founded the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
She made Texas a beautiful state.

INTERESTING FACTS
The original name of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center was the National Wildflower Research Center.
They renamed it in 1998 in honor of her hard work.
Claudia earned the nickname Lady Bird because of her beauty and love for nature.
