LADYBUG LAND

WE GOT THE LADYBUGS AND WATCHED THEM GROW.

STAGE 1 - EGGS

LADYBUGS LAY YELLOW EGGS UNDER THE LEAVES.

MOTHERS LAY THE EGGS AND DON'T NEED TO TAKE CARE OF THEM.

MOTHERS DON'T SEE THE EGGS HATCH.

STAGE 2 - LARVA

THEY EAT A LOT, MOVE AROUND AND GROW.

LARVA SKIN

THE LARVA SKIN GETS TOO TIGHT AND FALLS OFF.

LARVA SKIN

THEN THEY GROW NEW SKIN.

STAGE 3 - PUPA

THE PUPA NEVER MOVES BECAUSE IT IS CHANGING INTO AN ADULT.

STAGE 4 - ADULT

IT COMES OUT OF THE PUPA STAGE AND IS NOW AN ADULT.

THE ADULT HAS A HEAD, THORAX, ABDOMEN

LEGS, WINGS, ANTENNAE, DOTS AND AN ELYTRA.

LADYBUG LANTERN

THE ADULTS COULD FLY INSIDE AND EAT RAISINS.

RELEASING

WE TOOK TURNS HOLDING THE LADYBUGS THEN SET THEM FREE.
