Lake Michigan is one of the five Great Lakes of North America and is located completely within the United States.

Lake Michigan is known for largest of the Great Lakes according to its depth, is the only Great Lake is completely within the United States. The lake is 279 feet deep, the lake reaches 925 feet at its deepest point

Lake Michigan is located between 29 cities, beaches and islands 

During the summer, the sun warms the layer of water in the lake, making the water cold below. In the winter the heat that was stored in the lake is released and moderates the climate near the shore

 Lake Michigan is 923 ft deep and average depth of  279 with salinity between 50 and 600ppm  

In the summer that water temperature is above average. In the summer the levels are average precipitation

Water temperatures are running in the 50s and low 60s in the southern part of the lake

The lake is cooler in southern parts, the water average temperature change over seasons
