Our Land Acknowledgment

The community of SEE acknowledges that we are on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Nation

which is home to
all people
of
the Treaty 7 region.
We are treaty people.

We choose to be people of integrity, respect and empathy.

As long as the rivers have flowed
through Treaty 7 land
they have brought
its people -
food, shelter, and beauty

The rivers have needed,
and still need,
our respect and care
so they can provide
for all.

As long as
the green grass
we walk on grows,
we will care for this land and
be friends with its people.

As long as the sun shines,
we will remember
the past,
we will be respectful
in the present,
and
we will keep our promises
into the future.

We are treaty people.
We choose to be people of
integrity,
respect
and empathy.

May this always
be a place
where people choose to live in
kindness and respect,

and where people choose to appreciate and care for this land we call home.
