MEANING OF THE TITLE

• Stereotypical title of America

• The title of the song is almost a lie to what life in America is, and was like for Afro-Americans

THEME

• Political track, brings up mass incarceration
• Bittersweet contrast in American history for Afro-Americans
• Joeys ambition to create changes for the future
• The theme of this song is about change for the view of the black community. Along with the racism it has faced from the days of slavery.
