ITINERARY

DAY 1: 12 DEC 2015

  • Day 1: 12 Dec 2015
  • Be at the Changi airport by 0730hr, Terminal 1. Breakfast at airport
  • Flight depart Sg: 1045hr
  • Flight arrive Langkawi: 1215hr
  • Car rental for Langkawi airport - 3 7-seater cars
  • Lunch after getting car at nearby eating place near airport
  • After lunch, proceed to Bella vista waterfront resort

  • Langkawi Round Island Tour
  • 1st stop: Makam Mahsuri
  • Mahsuri’s Tomb - or Makam Mahsuri - is a shrine to one of the most beautiful women to have ever lived on Langkawi.
  • Located at Kampung Mawat

DAY 2: 13 DEC 2015

  • 2nd stop: Beras Terbakar
  • This field was set on fire by villagers in order to keep the enemy from acquiring food when Siamese invaded in 1821. Amusingly even after 200 years of the incident, the visitors can still find the burnt rice grains on the ground.

  • 3rd stop: Air Hangat village
  • Air Hangat (Hot Springs) is associated with an ancient legendary battle between Mat Cincang and Mat Raya during which a cauldron of boiling water was spilled at the spot which became a series of Hot Springs and named as Telaga Air Hangat.

  • Minyak Gamat
  • Gamat is a species of Sea Cucumbers which are marine creatures having leathery skin and a long body. They can be found on the sea floor almost all over the world. In Malay, these sea cucumbers are known as gamat. They were once in abundance in Langkawi's water until the islanders came to know about their medicinal healing value.   • 4th stop: Tanjong Rhu beach
  • Tanjung Rhu is situated just beyond Pantai Pasir Hitam at the northern most tip of Langkawi. It is about 22 kilometer away from Kuah town by way of Air Hangat. Tanjung Rhu has one of Langkawi’s best shorelines, looking out onto the Andaman Sea, possessing crystal clear waters and white sands.

DAY 2: 13 DEC 2015

  • 5th stop: Black sand beach
  • As the name suggests this peaceful small stretch of the beach is stained with black sand- the result of the mineral contents in the sand such as iron oxide. It is not overall covered with black sand but in shades of white and black sand. During the wet season it is blackeras the mineral deposits persistently wash up on the shore.

DAY 2: 13 DEC 2015

  • 6th stop: Laman padi Address: Laman Padi, Pantai Cenang, Mukim Kedawang
  • Laman Padi Langkawi, or Rice Garden Museum, is a popular eco-tourism attraction at Cenang Beach where visitors can learn about rice cultivation in a rustic, natural setting. Chief among the exhibits is an 8 acre working rice farm where visitors can wander among the paddy fields and scarecrows along grassy banks and watch rice farmers go about their work.

  • Sky cab
  • Cable Car ride.

  • The Langkawi Sky Bridge is located at the ‘end’ of the Cable Car ride. One of the island’s highlights, it is a 410ft-long curved pedestrian bridge above Mount Mat Cinchang.
