Economy
The economy of Mexico is the 14th largest in the world in nominal terms and the 10th largest by purchasing power parity, according to the IMF. Among the most important industrial manufacturers in Mexico is the automotive industry. Mexico's main natural resource is crude oil. The two main trade countries are: United States,90.9%. Canada, 2.2%. Mexico's main currency is the Peso.
Government
The United Mexican States are a federation whose government is representative, democratic and republican. The federal Congress, as well as the state legislatures, are elected by a system of parallel voting that includes plurality and proportional representation. The Senate is made up of 128 senators. Of these, 64 senators (two for each state and two for the Federal District) are elected by plurality vote in pairs; 32 senators are the first minority or first-runner up (one for each state and one for the Federal District), and 32 are elected by proportional representation from national closed party lists. Enrique Peña Nieto is the current president of Mexico. Citizens in Mexico have many freedoms, they also have the right to vote. The Mexican flag is shown in the background.
