La fête nationale français, or Bastille day, is very similar to the American holiday Fourth of July. It is the celebration of the establishment of a constitutional monarchy in France.

Bastille day is always on July 14th, in memory of the storming of the Bastille. It is France's Independence Day.

Celebratory meals or large picnics are thrown and friends and family gather. Businesses like banks, offices, and some cafes and restaurants are closed.

Bastille celebrations are held all around the world as a part of French culture. Bastille day is usually celebrated with large parades, firework shows, and picnics.
