HERE'S OUR OPTIONS

  • UN is acting too slow as a organization, so we need to take matters into our own hands.
  • Try persuade other countries to meet our standards of democracy.

HISTORY OF THIS CHOICE

  • Iraq: any issue we step in right away as a country instead of waiting for other groups (NATO, UN)
  • Ex: We waited for the UN to respond in Rwanda and over a million people were killed in one summer..which is inhumane

WHAT WE DO IN SYRIA

  • Syria has been at a civil war for over 2 years where the dictator has been killing his own people.
  • Since he has used chemical weapons, we should go in and stop it.
  • By waiting, the problem could potentially get worst and more people will flee expanding the migrant crisis.

SECURITY

  • Use our military to stop groups that are a threat to our national security
  • Also, to help countries ran by dictators and help spread democracy
  • It can disarm our enemies capabilities of using their weapons against us.
  • It would make Americans feel safe by instead of waiting for the problem to come to us, we go to it.

ECONOMY

  • It will help us tear down barriers to free trade.
  • It would help us have stronger trade connections with other democratic nations that we would help establish.
  • It will give U.S corporations more options to send their products overseas to take advantage of the cheaper labor.
