PRESENTATION OUTLINE

North America prior to human settlement

Ice Age is the time period when the entire Earth experienced notably colder climate conditions.

During the Ice Age humans crossed from Russia to Alaska on a sheet of ice. This is known as the land bridge theory.

The humans followed the herds of animals south because if they didn't they would starve. The herds of animals moved south because of the warmer climate.

The climate was more habitable. The humans had to adapt to the new climate.

The animals moved back north again because of the ice melting and the climate getting warmer. The humans followed them of course!

The warmer climate caused glaciers to melt and the ocean's water level to rise.
