Lee byung-chul founder of Samsung group was born in uriyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Korean empire on 12 February, 1910. He belonged to a wealthy family and owned large chunk of land. Lee byung-chul went to waseda University located in Tokyo

Lee left his education due to the death of his father.with the money he got as the heir of the family,he opened up a rice mill.

After the rice mill business not being successful, he opened a new business in daegu on 1st of March,1983. This time he Opened a trucking company which involved transporting services. He named it that company Samsung trading Co. Which is a sample of a bigger company in the present.

His transport business went successful by 1945. The company's services reached every corner of Korea and also to some other countries.samsung at that time was based in Seoul. SEOUL was the base of the company until the Korean War which started in 1950

When North Korea conquered Seoul due to that he was compelled to shift his business to PUSAN. That time his country was included in the largest company's list of trading business. The moving was beneficial for him.

Samsung group is now a multi national company of South Korea. It's head quarters is based in SAMSUNG TOWN,SEOUL.It is actually a conglomerate comprising of different business. Initially it was started as a transporting and trading company by lee byung-chul in 1938. But after its progress dispersed over a few decades, it emerged in different business areas like textiles, securities,insurance,food processing,electronics,and retail. All its brand came under the logo of Samsung.
