Brief introduction of China

  • China has the most population in the world, about 1.35billion people.
  • China is the second largest country in the world.
  • Chinese is the language that have most people speak in the world.
  • The capital of China is Beijing.

History of china

CHINA HAS MORE THAN 5,000 YEARS HISTORY, AND CHINA IS ONE OF THE FOUR GREAT ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS,

Qin dynasty

  • It was the first unitive dynasty in the history of China.
  • It was set up by Qin Shi Huang, who is the first emperor in China.
  • The dynasty was formed after Qin defeat other six countries.
  • But this dynasty is very short, it is from 221 to 206BC.

TANG DYNASTY

  • This is the most strong time in Chinese history.
  • China began to contact with many west world countries.
  • China become the most strong country in the world.
  • It was from 618 to 907AD.

NEW CHINA

  • New China was set up in 1949.10.1 by Mao Zedong

CHINESE TRADITIONAL HOLIDAYS

SPRING FESTIVAL

  • This is the most royal festival in China.
  • Families will have New Year Eve's dinner to celebrate this spring festival.
  • People will light fireworks to drive away the bad luck from last year.
  • Children will get a red packet containing money as a good wish for new year.

QINGMING FESTIVAL

  • It is for celebrants to remember and honor their ancestors at grave sites.
  • This festival is for people to enjoy the greenery of springtime.
  • People will also hang a kind of plant on the door to make bad luck leave.

DUANWU FESTIVAL

  • It is for people to commemorate QuYuan,he is a poet live in Zhou Dynasty
  • People will drink realgar wine to exorcise evil spirit and row dragon boat
  • he jumped into the Yellow River to sacrificed himself and save his country.
  • People will eat Zongzi(a kind of rice dumpling that use leaves to pack rice)
  • People throw Zongzi into the river to protect him from be ate by fish.

moon festival

  • The festival is a time of family reunion.
  • People will eat moon cake and watch the moon.
  • The legend of moon festival is about a woman in order to save her husband,
  • she took the poison then she flew to the moon.

CHINESE FOOD

  • Manchu Han Imperial Feast was the grandest meals
  • ever documented in Chinese cuisine.
  • Only Chinese emperors can enjoy this grand banquet.
  • There are more than 300 dishes on this meal
  • China has eight major cuisines,different region's cuisines are different

  • It is one of the "Five Great Mountains" in China.
  • The tallest peak is 1545m tall
  • It has been a place of worship for at least 3,000 years
  • and served as one of the most important
  • ceremonial centers of China during large portions of this period

Mount Hua

  • It is one of China's Five Great Mountains.
  • The highest is the South Peak at 2,154.9 metres.
