• New York has the tallest buildings on the face of the earth.

Hopefully, you understood why each of those sentences were hyperbole. Remember, Hyperboles are always exaggerated, no matter what!

Now, lets play a game I'm going to burst out into a sentence and you are going to say if it's a hyperbole or just a regular old sentence. Sounds easy enough 'right we'll see? I'm the very best at this game I could bet 9,000 people in a row! Did I get you? Great, let's go.

HYPERBOLE GAME

• I went to the movies.
• Then, I had the best lunch in the world.
• Finnaly, I came home to see my mom had done a total makeover.
