MAJOR EVENTS IN THE PLEISTOCENE TIME PERIOD

  • There were many ice ages occuring
  • Ice was covering most of the earth
  • Permafrost started to moved south along the ice

In these ice ages the temperatures and climates shifted drastically and the glaciers always moved but scientists don't think that it is what caused extinction during this time. The animals were used to adapting to the weather.

THERE IS SOME CONTROVERSY ON WHETHER THERE WERE HUMANS ON EARTH AT THIS TIME.

SCIENTISTS SAY THAT THEY CAUSED A MASS EXTINCTION FROM HUNTING.
