BY: NATE CAWRSE

Through the process of the Civil War, 3 million men and women disguised as men served in the bloodiest war in American history.

By the end of the war, more than 620,000 people were killed out of the 3,000,000

People who were involved were the confederates along with the union. States involved were South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas.

The event that had happened was the Civil War of 1861-1865. The significance of my people is they participated to keep the country together

We remember these people because they served in the bloodiest war in American history.

The confederate soldiers food supply was really limited. They could only have small portions of food a day.

Most men in their army ranged from 18-29 years old

Their men had anywhere from 30-40 pounds on their back from carrying their rut sack. 7 pounds of it was ammo for their rifles

Soldiers got paid 11$ but their pay went up to 18$ in 1865. African Americans didn’t get paid and Chinese Americans got paid very little.

Morning routines were the same as the unions. They would be awaken by the sounds of the drums at 5 ante meridian and roll call was taken
