LIGHT LAB

(WHAT WE DID AND THE VOCAB FOR IT) MADE BY: EVAN WILK

For station one we had to tell what 3 objects, or things can make their own light. Also, we had to tell what light can do when it comes off of the source. Which is Reflect, Refract, or Absorb.

For station two we had to explain what happened when a straw was in water and we looked through the cup.

For the third station we had to draw what we saw when we looked at a bell.

For the fourth station we looked at CDs to see what happened when moved in light.

For the fifth station we looked through prisms to see what happened to the white light around us.

For the last station we looked to see what objects we transparent, translucent, or opaque.

WORD TO KNOW:
Reflection- light waves bouncing off a smooth and shiny surface to the human eyes to shaw what is in front of it.

WORDS TO KNOW:
Refraction- light waves being bent or changed of direction from going through two transparent substances.

WORDS TO KNOW:
Transparent- An object that ALL light can pass through.

WORDS TO KNOW:
Translucent- An object that SOME light can pass through.

WORDS TO KNOW:
Opaque- An object that NO light can pass through.

My favorite part of the lab was looking at the CDs.
