Foreshadowing

Irony

figure of speech in which words are used in a way that their intended meaning is different from the actual meaning

Flashback

interruptions that writers do to insert past events in order to provide context to the current events

Mood

An element that evokes certain feelings or vibes in readers through words and descriptions

Symbol

Signifying ideas and qualities by giving them symbolic meanings that are different from their literal sense

Pun

 A play on words in which a humorous effect is produced
