Yet, the governor of Arkansas did not agree
In 1957 nine African American teens enrolled themselves into Little Rock Central High School.
ELIZABETH ECKFORD WALKED TO THE SCHOOL. RATHER THAN GO WITH THE OTHERS.
THE GOVERNOR OF ARKANSAS HAD THE NATIONAL GUARD COME IN
TO PREVENT THE ATTENDANCE OF THE NINE TEENS.
Following their enrollment, the Little Rock Crisis occurred.
THE LITTLE ROCK NINE THEN ATTENDED AFTER THE ORDERS FROM EISENHOWER.
THE NATIONAL GUARD ESCORTED THE TEENS INTO THE SCHOOL
Because of the Little Rock Nines attendance, they had to under go many events of torment and teasing.
Minnijean Brown was the only one suspended for retaliating against the torment.
The governor signed acts that let him and the Little Rock School District to close all public schools.
Because of the closing of the public schools, many of the little rock nine were not able to graduate from Central High.
Ernest Green was the only one out of the Little Rock Nine to graduate from Central High
The rest of the Little Rock Nine ended their high school careers at other high schools across the country.
