According to my research Philippines is Located in the continent of Asia, the philippines is near at the pacific ring of fire,
Philippines covers 298,170 square kilometers of land and 1,830 square kilometers of water, making it the 73rd largest nation in the world with a total area of 300,000 square kilometers.

The Philippines became an independent state in 1946, after gaining its sovereignty from Spain. The population of The Philippines is 103,775,002 (2012) and the nation has a density of 348 people per square kilometer.

The currency of The Philippines is the Philippine Peso (PHP). As well, the people of The Philippines are refered to as Philippine.
The dialing code for the country is 63 and the top level internet domain for Philippine sites is .ph.
The Philippines does not share land borders with any countries.


The Philippines is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, and many smaller bodies of water including the Philippine Sea, Celebes Sea, Sula Sea and South China Sea.


Located in Southeast Asia, the Philippines are an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands and are a popular holiday destination. These are the ten deadliest typhoons of the Philippines between 1947 and 2014. What’s alarming is that five of the 10 have occurred since 2006, affecting and displacing thousands of citizens every time. Seven of these 10 deadly storms each resulted in more than 1,000 casualties. But the deadliest storm on record in the Philippines is Typhoon Haiyan, known locally as Typhoon Yolanda, which was responsible for more than 6,300 lost lives, over four million displaced citizens, and $2 billion in damages in 2013.
So what’s going on – is the Philippines simply unlucky? Not exactly.
