It is estimated that up to 4% of females in the United States will have bulimia during their lifetime.

Only 6% of those woman go to group therapy.

THE MAIN CHARACTERS:

Her mom never gets out of bed, and cries every night because of her husband (and the girls father) passing away, her sister becomes a brat, Isabelle isn't doing well in school, and Isabelle is heartbroken when she learns she has to go to group therapy for her bulimia. Isabelle isn't very much known at school until she realizes she goes to group therapy with the most popular girl in school: Ashely Barnum.

MAIN CHARACTERS (CONTINUED)

  • Ashely Barnum is the most popular girl in school with the most perfect life: boys drooling over her, a huge mansion, she's extremely smart, every girl wants to be her, and she is overall perfect. But, Ashely has a HUGE secret: she suffers from bulimia. Ashley plans on keeping it a secret, but then she has to do the horrible: go to group. Ashley has little idea of Isabelle but soon becomes the best of friends with Isabelle and telling Isabelle her darkest secrets.

  • Isabelle and Aprils mother (Elizabeth.) Grieving the death of her husband, all Elizabeth does is wear baggy clothes, never get out of bed, hides all of her husbands photos, and cries all day and night. When April rats out Isabelle to Elizabeth, she sends Isabelle to group therapy.

OTHER CHARACTERS (2)

  • Trish. Trish is the leader of group therapy and private therapy for Isabelle and Ashley.

Isabelle and Ashley hate therapy. When they are assigned to be partners for a project, both instantly click together. They have slumber parties, they shop together, and they have binge sessions. Soon they become good enough friends that Ashley asked Isabelle to sit at "the popular table" with her and her friend. But soon Isabelle starts to see into Ashely's secrets and feels different about her.

I give this book 10/10 stars because the plot was extremely interesting. I was always super upset when I had to stop reading because every page was an amazing part in the book. The book is super realistic, so that makes it even more interesting. Every moment was very surprising and exciting.
