Conflict

• The main problem of this book is that the water in Southern Sudan is muddy and contains germs. Salva can find a way to solve this yet. To make matters worse his family is separated because a war occurring in their village.

Salva's refugee camp was forced to move.They had to cross a river. The river had crocodiles in it as well!

In Kenya, Salva met someone who spoke English. The man taught Salva some words. Salva then saw a list with his name on saying he was going to live in New York!

The most suspenseful part was when Salva checked his email. It said his father was getting stomach surgery. That still meant his father survived!

Salva Gets Help - Falling Event I

Salva has an idea of how he can get clean water for the people in Sudan. However, he doesn't think he will be able to do it himself. Salva gets help from a friend of his new parents. The friend does projects like this. In order for the project to work, Salva needs to speak in front of people in English.

Salva Meets Nya - Falling Event II

Salva visits Nuer Tribe. The Nuer Tribe is the tribe Nya is part of. Nya sees Salva helping and finding clean water for them even though the Dinka Tribe and the Nuer tribe are enemies. The Nuer Tribe even killed Salva's uncle! However, Salva still is willing to help them.

Resolution

Salva helped many tribes by providing wells. Salva found clean water for many people. The war is over and Salva can visit his family again knowing it is safe.
