Festivals:

  • First people organized there lives as seasons,there festivals celebrated a harvest.
  • Lousiana has over a 400 festivals now, they showcase food , music, and art.
  • The festivals are French Quarter Festival, Essence Fest, Frog Festival, Mardi Gras Parade ,Jazz Fest ,Strawberry Festival,Craw-fish Festival, Bayou Classic,Zydeco Festival, Cajun Festival, Gumbo Festival, Cajun Festival, Swamp Festival, Pecan Festival , Cotton Festival , Strawberry Fest,and many many many more.

Food:

  • The food that Louisiana is mostly known for is, shrimp, crabs, craw fish, gumbo, jambalaya, and, oysters.
  • Food is very important to us because we add a certain type of flavor to it which is called tony's chacheres and , zatarains.
  • Louisiania food comes from our swamps, and the Mississippi river.
  • Our food is considered the best elements of our culture,although some of our spices are to hot. The food most identified with states are Creole and Cajun, south Louisianans food is more hot.

Music:

  • The music we have is, blues, gospel, zydeco,and jazz.
  • The music style is based on black folk music, especially on the chants of plantation workers. The instruments most associated with blues music, the guitar, and the harmonica. The styles were based on rhythms, and blues.
  • New Orleans is the birth place of jazz, but Jazz is a kind of improvised music with strong rhythms and syncopation.(accent)
  • Also we have blues , blues is a way we link to the past.
  • And Zydeco is a music that southern Louisianans.

Regions:

  • The Louisiana Department of Culture Recreation and Tourism divides the state into five regions.
  • The sportsman Paradise Region is the northern Louisiana. The Cross Roads Region is in North and South Louisiana by, Bossier and Alexandria and Banks of Red Rivers. The Cajun Country Region is is western southern Louisiana by Acme and Bordelonville
  • Plantation Country Region, is eastern southern part of Louisiana by baton Rouge and Hammond, Greater New Orleans Region

Louisiana is very important from the festivals,food,music,and regions.......
