PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Introduction
The Supreme Court was created by the constitution. Congress used its constitutional authority to establish a network of lower federal courts beginning with the judiciary act of 1789.
Constitutional Courts
Constitutional courts are established by congress under the provisions of article III of the constitution.
Officers of the Court
District courts has many different appointed officials to provide support services for the court. For example: A United States Marshall carries out such duties such as making arrests securing jurors and keeping order in the court room. Court officers include deputy clerks, bailiffs, and a stenographer.
