FACTS
His full name was Ludwig Van Beethoven.
He was a brilliant pianist and composer of classical music.
He is considered the greatest composer of all time by many people.

CHILDHOOD
Beethoven was born on December 16, 1770 in Bonn, Germany.
He was the oldest of three brothers.
He started playing the piano at the age of five.
His father started giving him piano lessons.
4.
BACKROUND
His family was poor.
Beethoven withdrew from school at the age of 10 to study music.
His father was very strict about playing notes. If Beethoven played the wrong note, his father would punish him by boxing his ears.
His father wanted him to play the piano at a young age so he could make lots of money for his family.
Because his father was boxing his ears for playing the wrong notes, he started to become deaf around age 30.

AWARDS/ACHIEVMENTS
He could play the piano blindfolded.
Even though he was a deaf musician, he still completed his musical theories.
In addition to the piano, Beethoven could play other instruments like the violin and the organ.

IMPACT
He inspired many people with his musical theories.
Much of the piano music that he has written was printed out so the world could play his pieces.
When he got older, he could host concerts.
He is considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time by many people.

DEATH
He died in 1827at the age of 57.
He died of liver damage.
Even though Beethoven died a long time ago, people still play his written pieces/compositions.
