LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN

MARCH 1770 - MARCH 26 1827

BEETHOVEN FAMILY LIFE.

  • Beethoven was born in Bonn Germany.
  • He was baptized on December 17, 1770.
  • Beethoven’s actual date of birth was never known.

FAMILY LIFE

  • Beethoven had two brothers, whose names were Johan, and Franz
  • He was good friends with Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

YOUNG AGE

  • At a very young age Beethoven wrote his first song, Opus 1 Piano Trio.
  • Also at a very young age people could see he had talent for music.
  • He also was taught by his father on how to play piano and violin.

MIDDLE AGE

  • In 1800 he premiered his first symphony.
  • And his first string quartet was published in 1801.

MIDDLE AGE

  • At the age of 28, he started to go deaf.
  • Also around this time period he made quite of few more songs, such as the 4th, 5th, 6th, symphonies. Also the Moonlight Sonata.

  • When Beethoven performed the 9th he was completely deaf at the time.
  • The 9th is also the most well known piece that Beethoven wrote.

BEETHOVEN TODAY

  • Beethoven’s grave is located in Vienna Zentralfriedhof.
  • Most people say that Beethoven is the best composer to ever live.

FUN FACTS

  • He was the third Ludwig Van Beethoven in his family.
  • He was not very lucky in love.
  • He died during a thunderstorm at age 56.
  • He made a total of 722 pieces.
