They include the thymus,spleen,tonsils,and appendix along with some special tissue in the gut. The spleen and thymus are organs that filter the blood.

It is responsible for the removal of interstitial fluid from tissues.It absorbs and transports fatty acids and fats as chyle from the digestive system.It transports whites blood cells to and from the lymph nodes into the bones.

The lymphatic system consists of organs, ducts, and nodes. It transports a watery clear fluid called lymph. This fluid distributes immune cells and other factors throughout the body. It also interacts with the blood circulatory system to drain fluid from cells and tissues.
SUMMARY
The Lymphatic System maintains fluid levels in the body. Bacteria and other microbes are taken up my the lymph and delivered to the lymph nodes for destruction.
Analogy-The Lymphatic System: the drains in your house.
