HERITAGE

HERE IS A LOOK AT MADAGASCAR'S HERITAGE
Madagascar has many different ethnic groups. Mostly there are African and Asian groups. The people that occupy the central highlands are mostly the Asian side of things. The people that occupy the the costal areas have more of the African origin.

Madagascar lies off the coast of southeast Africa. Madagascar is one of the biggest islands in the world.

MADAGASCAR'S FLAG

The red and white on the flag represent the Merina kingdom. The green represents the ones who were ruled under the Merina kingdom.

SPORTS AND HOBBIES

The people in Madagascar have many similar sports as us. They play football (soccer) , wrestling,and basketball.

THIS IS THE RELIGION IN MADAGASCAR
The main religion in Madagascar is Christianity. Though there is also Muslim and other religions.

The Madagascar people start with fruit and eat many fruit and vegetable inspired courses throughout the meal

Madagascar's natural forests have been cut, burned and then planted with rice. After doing this many times the soil is exhausted of nutrients and their is mainly weeds growing in the fields.

WHAT I LEARNED

WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT MY COUNTRY'S CULTURE
I learned that Madagascar isn't all the paradise that I thought it was. I also learned that their is a lot more Christian people their than I thought. I also finally learned what their flag meant. Also I learned that they speak French. Over all it learned a lot about my country and I am glad I researched it.
