In conclusion, poverty can have a devastating impact on mental health, making it a critical issue that must be addressed in order to promote well-being and support the mental health of those affected by poverty. The novel depicts the struggle for survival in the slums, where people are forced to live in cramped and unsanitary conditions, and are constantly struggling to secure basic necessities such as food and shelter. The constant stress and uncertainty of living in poverty takes a toll on the characters' mental health, leading to feelings of hopelessness, despair, and anxiety.
